Metformin Hydrochloride
Metfo-Cotec contains metformin which is a medicine belongs to a group of medicines called biguanides. It works by lowering the blood sugar (glucose) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in overweight patients. Metfo-Cotec is an immediate release formulation (IR) and it is indicated in children 10 years and over and adults. Metfo-Cotec can be used solely or in combination with other antidiabetic medicine (sulfonylurea or insulin) to improve glycaemic control for patients over 17 years old
